We are a small, passionate, deliberately boutique creative digital marketing agency based in Nottingham — and we would not have it any other way. We believe that the businesses doing the most interesting work in the UK are not always the biggest ones. They are the ones with a clear sense of who they are, what they stand for, and where they are going.

Our job is to help you communicate all of that — beautifully, strategically, and with words and design that make your ideal customers feel like they have found exactly the right place.

Meet Anushka Gupta — The Person Who Started All of This

"I did not set out to build an agency. I set out to solve a problem I kept seeing everywhere I looked."

Anushka Gupta founded BrightNest Studio in Nottingham in 2025, not as the next step on a carefully planned career path, but out of a genuine frustration she could not ignore.

She had spent years working in digital marketing and design, watching talented, hard-working business owners — florists, solicitors, builders, consultants, café owners — pour everything into their craft, only to be invisible online. Not because their businesses were not good enough. Because nobody had ever helped them tell their story properly.

The large agencies were too expensive and too impersonal. The freelancers were talented but stretched thin. And the cheap options produced work that looked like it came from a template — because it did. There was a gap between what small and medium businesses needed and what was actually available to them at a price that made sense.

She started BrightNest from a spare room in Nottingham with a laptop, a very strong opinion about typography, and an absolute refusal to produce work she was not proud of. That refusal is still the most important quality standard the studio has.

Today, Anushka leads a small, carefully assembled team of designers, writers, and strategists — each chosen not just for their skills, but for their genuine curiosity about the businesses they work with and their commitment to doing things properly rather than quickly.

M.A. in Fashion Communication from Nottingham Trent University ( NTU ), Nottingham.

5 years in digital marketing before founding BrightNest — agencies and in-house roles

Based in Nottingham — deeply connected to the East Midlands business community
